The role of the Egyptian university libraries in supporting soft forces : Ain Shams University Faculty of Engineering Library as an example

Abstract

This current research paper 's purpose is to spotlight the role of Egyptian
universities' libraries in supporting the soft power which is reflected and
presented in Faculty of Engineering's library as a model. The research seeks
exposing the concept of the soft power and its most important constituents in
education through manifesting the role of Faculty of Engineering's library in
supporting scientific research. Consequently, this will assist developing the soft
power through the nature of the faculty's buildings, site, equipments, the
managerial subsidiarity and dependence, groups and technical processes in
addition to employees of this library.
The research also drives at identifying the informative services presented
by the library for those beneficiaries from the scientific research field, defining
their fundamental characteristics as well, in addition to identifying the techniques
used in the library and its role in developing the scientific research and its
upgrade for a better future for Ain Shams University, our grand well-established
university
