Abstract

The development of information technology, especially in the field of
libraries and information, led to the appearance the sources of digital information,
which has become an important source of information sources. the nature of the
manuscripts as a source of information, libraries and information centers have
interested in Benefit from information technology by digitizing their manuscripts
and making them available in digital image.
This study attempts to identify what the digital alternatives to manuscripts
can offer in terms of electronic information services provided in the study libraries
either by improving and developing traditional information services or by creating
a new generation of advanced information services.
