The effectiveness of cooperative learning strategy in teaching descriptive cataloging Course and its impact on academic achievement and the formation of the trend towards Course at library and information Science students

Abstract

The study aims to know the effect of the use of cooperative learning strategy
as one of the most important active learning Strategies - which is one of the
recent trends in the educational strategies - in the practical application of the
preparation of the descriptive Cataloging cards , on academic achievement and
the trend towards Course the planned study on first year students , libraries,
documentation and information science Department, Faculty of Arts, Damietta
University and to achieve the objectives of the study were to rely on a the
experimental method and the use many tools as Description Course, preparation
of a measure of the tendency towards descriptive cataloging Course , and
achievement test in the same unit , has been testing the application and scale
tribal and Uday results on the experimental group and the control group of the
study , the results indicated the presence of statistically significant differences in
favor of the post application of the strategy of cooperative learning in academic
achievement development and the formation of the trend towards the Course
