Electronic training for librarian’s at Sohag university libraries: a study for reality and a planning for the future

Abstract

Libraries and information centers are generally based upon the human part on doing their services as the humans are those who are quite capable and competent of how to apply the modern technological media at their various activities , due to the obstacles hampering the procession of developing the skills of the librarians, the inclination to apply the electronic training programs has arisen to get over such these obstacles, consequently this study deals with a descriptive display for training librarians at Sohag university libraries and identifying the various media that will help them apply the electronic training as well as putting on plans in the future in this respect, using field study approach , the study found a number of results, the most prominent of which are that: joining training courses seems to be prior to the professional development media for librarians at Sohag university , there are no electronic training programs for librarians
