Abstract

This study aimed to shed light on the job rotation term and the familiarity
of library staff at the Minia university with this term in addition to the procedures
of applying job rotation policy. The study will also propose a training program that
targets Minia university libraries' staff in the light of their understanding of job
rotation.
The study will measure to what extent applying such program will benefit
the workers in the libraries and if it will improve their knowledge. The study
employed two methodologies to conduct the current study; an analytical,
descriptive approach and experimental approach were implemented to achieve
the desired results. Additionally, a survey was used to determine the staff
knowledge of the job rotation policy.
The credibility of the survey was tested and the survey was distributed on
86 library staff. The results of the study showed a lack of knowledge regarding
the job rotation policy. Therefore, an experimental study was conducted on 29
library staff to train them on the job rotation policy.
The study concluded that there is a need to familiarize the library staff
with the job rotation policy because of its importance in library management and
the perceived outcomes that would affect the staff qualifications.
