Abstract

Scientific Video Journals represent an innovative and pioneering approach that supports and enhances Scholarly Visual Communication among researchers in the digital age. They provide dynamic and interactive methods for presenting research and its findings, facilitating information accessibility, saving time and effort, and improving the reproducibility of laboratory experiments and the learning of surgical techniques.
Beyond their applications in Health and Medical Sciences and Life Sciences, scientific video journals have expanded to support studies in media, communication, film, and cinema. They have also extended into the Social Sciences and Humanities, opening new horizons for the future of scholarly visual communication, particularly in the Arab world.
This study presents a Literature Review of the intellectual output published on the topics of Scholarly Visual Communication and Scientific Video Journals, aiming to identify key contributions in both foreign and Arab scholarly discourse on the subject.
