Abstract: The publishing industry in Egypt is a driver of the economy in the state as well as it is important source of national income because the publishing industry constitutes one of the sources of the state’s soft power. Although, this industry witnessed many challenges and problems that were reflected in it, especially on one of its main channels, namely, the publisher sector. The present study seeks to shed light on one of those challenges, which is the problem of 'Remainder Books' among publishers in Egypt, to find out the reasons behind the accumulation of books and the problems of marketing them, and the extent of their impact on the economy of this industry.
