Marketing Libraries Inside The Cairo International Book Fair

Abstract

This study research looked at the concept of marketing and library marketing at the Cairo International Book Fair. It looked at different services and activities, like exhibitions and book fairs, and looked at how libraries participate in the Fair. It also looked at the obstacles that stop libraries from marketing their services within the Fair, and developed a plan to help them.

In order to achieve these goals, This study looked at how libraries market themselves at the Cairo International Book Fair. It looked at the different activities they do, like exhibitions and book fairs, and it looked at the obstacles that make it hard for them to market themselves. It also made a plan to help them market themselves better.



The researcher reached a number of the study findings, the most important of which are:

1. Lack of knowledge of the concept of marketing, especially the libraries marketing among the libraries participating in the Cairo International Book Fair.

2. Not using the marketing methods in scientific well-studied ways, through which they contribute to develop and improve the services provided to the beneficiaries in the exhibition.

3. Lack of qualified staff in the libraries who have obtained training courses and workshops in the field of marketing.

The most important recommendations of the study:

-Working on adopting the plan proposed by the researcher in marketing the libraries and exhibition within the Cairo International Book Fair.
