Abstract

Publishing and sharing research data aims to enable its reuse according to the dynamics of open science practitioners. In research data publishing practices there are three main actors: researchers, publishers, and data repositories. Its use is limited within a specific institution, as it is open to all scientific fields and to publish any type of research datasets. This study also analyzed the methodologies of current practices for publishing datasets in these repositories, with regard to eight main aspects of data dissemination, namely (coordination of datasets, documentation licensing, publication costs, validation, availability, discoverability and access, citation and citation) using both the descriptive analytical approach and the content analysis approach, and it is clear from this analysis that existing public research data repositories are viable services for data dissemination and need Develop and enhance their practices to better support them, and public repositories must address a key issue of how to improve The specifications offered by repositories, such as the formats they support, the validation procedures provided and the management of data licenses, to overcome limitations imposed by the highly heterogeneous data sets.
