Abstract

Abstract
The study dealt with alternative measurements and open access to information and the extent of their integration by studying the societal impact of a group of articles available in open access journals specialized in the field of libraries and information and included in the Scopus database, using the PlumX tool, with the aim of identifying the role played by This tool is used in evaluating scientific articles, as well as the extent to which the community participates in those articles, and to determine the correlational relationships and their statistical significance between the traditional measurement catalge (citation) and alternative measurements (Usage, Capture, Mention, Social Media) provided by the PlumX measurement tool for articles of open access journals in The field of libraries and information in the Scopus database, using the content analysis method, one of the methods of the descriptive approach. (Usage, Capture, Mention, Social Media) with statistical indications varying (0,01 , 0.05), and the measurement indicator (Usage) ranks first in recording the highest rate over the three years (2017 - 2019) compared to the rest of the PlumX measurement indicators, through Collge, while the measurement indicator mentioned (Mention) recorded the lowest rate over the three years compared to the rest of the indicators of the PlumX measurement, The study also recommended that researchers and academics should be encouraged to use electronic research products and express their opinions about them in any of the social web sources to alert colleagues in their specialties to search results. important and feasible
