The effect of applying plagiarism detection programs on improving scientific research in Menoufia University

Given the great importance of information technology today in all areas, especially the use of the Internet because of its many facilities, a new type of crime was violated that violates the sanctity and privacy of this information via the Internet and they are what is known as scientific plagiarism, scientific theft, or information piracy, and that is in The Arab scientific community witnessed the spread of many unhealthy phenomena, the most prominent of which is the scientific theft phenomenon of Arab intellectual production, which has become one of the most dangerous negative phenomena experienced by university and research societies and institutions in Egypt and the Arab world, and has even become one of The ugliest crimes common in our current society. Which can destroy the entire course of scientific research, and then had a clear impact on the delay in the classification of Arab universities in the lists of the best universities in the world.
In view of the seriousness of this phenomenon, which clarified the extent of ignorance of some researchers about what they do, whether intentionally or unintentionally, the researcher tried in the folds of this study to define what scientific plagiarism is and the difference between it and scientific quotation, as well as the definition of the program applied to detect scientific plagiarism at Menoufia University. The study also tried to shed light on the factors that help researchers avoid falling into scientific plagiarism during their scientific writings.
