Abstracts of theses available at the Egyptian University libraries Association: an evaluation study

Abstract

the study aimed at analyzing and evaluating the abstracts of the available scientific theses through the digital repository of the egyptian university libraries association and identifying the extent of its completeness as well as knowing the extent of its ability to express scientific theses and its contents accurately and studying the problems and defects that hinder the achievement of its goals and work to solve it and using survey approach the study reached several results, the most important of which are the presence of deficiencies in the components or the main elements on which the extracted body depends on the message extracts of the study sample. head and the proportion of extracts that the method used was not mentioned in the study reaching 86.85%
as for percentage of abstracts that the study recommendations were not mentioned, the percentage of extracts that did not mention additional information such as the society and sample of the study increased the data collection increases 62,17% in addition to a large increase in the size of the abstracts of the study sample, where the percentage of extracts that exceed the number her words consisted of 200 to 250 words 16,89%.
